Deafness Awareness Training

Sophie's training is highly requested and repeatedly for good reason: she deeply understands how access, deafness, communication, culture and disability all interconnect, and how we all can benefit from them no matter where we are and with.


She also weaves in valuable insights, stories and practical strategies that you can immediately apply in your daily life. Sophie is a qualified Trainer & Assessor.

Public speaking

Sophie has been inspiring hundreds in key events, galas, schools, fundraisers and corporates since she was a pre-teen.


Her journey of growing up deaf in a hearing family and world speaks volumes of resilience, discovery and empowerment. She also shares how she had learned to balance between the myriad of cultures and languages - Australian, Chinese, deaf and hearing.

Auslan practice

Auslan practice

Sophie is a qualified Auslan Trainer and Assessor, fluent in both Auslan and English and can provide a safe space to practise Auslan.

  • Learn Deaf Culture in practical Auslan

  • Practise new signs in correct context

  • Improve receptive fingerspelling

  • Unpack deaf communication and concepts

  • Assess Auslan skills and videos
